Pocket Park

An urban pocket park in South London.

This pocket park sits between the new Marks and Spencer and Costa Coffee buildings on Woolwich Road, and serves as an attractive seating and milling space linking the two. The strong paving pattern reflects the clean lines of the adjacent architecture, with a double line of trees located on either side of the coffee shop.

Two pairs of long granite planters are located on either side of the coffee shop and double up as benches. A number of granite seating blocks have been placed in random groups adjacent to them. The scheme, which was completed in the summer of 2015, is already proving a popular meeting point.
